Lesson Covered:
🌸 We started the Ahkam ul huroof the non intrinsic attributes i.e. the attributes that are influenced due to the placement other letters or vowels in an Ayah.
🌸We covered the ahkam of letter raa(ر) when raa should be recited heavy (6 conditions) and when it should be recited light ( 5 conditions)

Overview Week 12
This week, we covered the rules of Ikhfaa. Important notes about Ikhfaa:
* If the noon sakin has no sign and tanwin is not regular, then it is either Iqlab (ب) or Idgham (یرملون) or Ikhfa. If its not Iqlab or Idgham, it is Ikhfa
* The stretch for ghunnah in Ikhfa is two harakah
* While reciting the ghunnah the mouth should shape the following letter so you can hear the ghunnah in the sound of the next letter

*Week 12 (Silent Letters و ا ل ى )
RULE 7:
If Hamzatul Wasl is preceded by the long vowel Alif Madd, Alif Madd will not be stretched and the letter before it will be recited like a short vowel so it can be connected with the letter after Hamzatul Wasl (considering the sun and moon letters).
RULE 8:
If Hamzatul Wasl is preceded by the long vowel Ya Madd, it will become silent. The letter before Ya will be read like a short vowel and will be connected with the letter after Hamzatul Wasl (considering the sun and moon letters).

Week 11 Overview
Week 11 (Silent Letters و ا ل ى)
RULE 6
Alif becomes silent if it comes after the last word ending with the letter wow.
In class, we talked about the meaning and importance of the Laylatul Qadar. We had a quiz regarding the Laylatul Qadar which Mashallah children enjoyed.
Since we had only one day of class this week, I will be assigning 3 days of homework.

Few important points:
* The stretch of Ghunnah in Idgham for letters یومن is two harakah
* For the letters ل ر – there should not be any ghunnah and no stretch
