We will have the closing ceremony for our first semester next week Friday 12th at 7pm. We will hand out certificate of completion and small gifts to our students.

We would request parents to join us at 7pm so the hard work done by the students can be appreciated and it gives them motivation to continue the same kind of effort.

Just as a reminder, we will open the enrollment for new students after May 12th. So, if you would like to continue the next semester, please register before that date.

We won’t be giving any homework this week. InshaAllah we would resume sending homework on bookwidgets from June 5th till the end of July for 8 weeks as explained in PT conferences.

Next week, our children will receive a book for level 2 which has all the information about the lessons covered through out this term.

For this week, I would advise to keep practicing surah Fajr for recitation, along with the surhas and duas they have memorized this term.

Message of the Week:

Surah Ar- Ra’d Verse 28

ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَطْمَئِنُّ قُلُوبُهُم بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ أَلَا بِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ ٱلْقُلُوبُ ٢٨
“Those who have believed and whose hearts are peaceful with the remembrance of Allāh. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allāh do hearts find peace.”
All the students shared how they can remember Allah throughout the day. We had them design a poster with all the good things that Allah loves to see us do and by doing them we remember Allah.

Summer Book

This week we shared our Summer Book with our students. We explained how to follow the book and review everything we have learnt so far in summer break.

⭐Our youth volunteer Sakina Hussain spoke on the topic of Shaitan and how he sets traps and pulls bani Adam towards himself

⭐We should be mindful of our nafs to not fall into his trap

⭐Ask your child to share with you the story of a grand scholar Sheikh Murtaza Ansari who was able to break all the chains of Shaitan because of his strong faith in Allah!

Assessment Week

This week we tested all the students for everything that has been covered so far. Alhumdolillah they all did really well. It was truly rewarding to see them putting their heart in it and giving their best!

⭐Huroof e Muqatta’at
In the holy Quran we have 114 surahs out which 29 surahs start with حروف مقطعه

The letters in Arabic that are spelled with the combination of 3 letters as in
ن- نون
ج- جیم
م- میم
و- واو
ص- صاد…..
Except الف ‌should be stretched for 6 harakahs as in
الم ( الف لام میم)= الف – 6- 6
6 representing the length of stretch

Whereas, all other letters as in
با، تا، ثا، حا،خا، را….یا
Would get a stretch of 2 harakah.

⭐Madd & Rulings of Reciting Madd

We have 5 different kinds of madd with different rulings but in this level we will only cover مد لازم

The letters that have a sign of madd on top of them (~) followed a shudda letter should be stretched 6 harakah as in ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ
Here we will stretch the
ضال – ل – لی – ن
6-2-2-1( length of stretch)

Masha Allah all the children have memorized and presented beautifully the Ziyarat of Imame Zaman (ajtf)

Thursday the kids decorated the multi purpose room to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the birth of the Imam (ajts) of our time

They enjoyed being the part of the celebration and on Friday we had a jashan with all our levels involved. Kids participated in group recitation of the Holy Quran, nasheed, and ziyarah. They decorated their customized masjid shaped cookies. A big thanks to Sr. Zainab for baking these beautiful cookies for us. May Allah reward her in abundance🤲🏼
